I hurt

// July 30th, 2005 // Comments Off // Legacy (old website)

Question: List the bits that hurt
Answer: Erm, arms, lets, chest… my heads ok but my neck is a bit stiff

Sub-question: Why?
Answer: Because I did a kung fu session on Thursday night and I haven’t done one in 2 1/2 years. It’s strange how much I got used to being punched and thrown on the floor and it’s only now that I notice it.

On a related note I was completely knackered today, I slept like a log. Maybe I need it to get back to some decent sleep, either that or just not going to bed at [looks at clock] half midnight.

Harry potter day

// July 17th, 2005 // Comments Off // Legacy (old website)

So we were eating breakfast in McDonalds with a Harry Potter book by 10am this morning…

But despite it being Harry Potter day I haven’t been reading it (I’m on book 3 at the moment and have been for about 2 months now). Instead I have spent the day reading ‘Can you keep a secret’ by Sophie Kinsella. OK so it’s a fairly girlie book but I found it easier to read than HP. Maybe I don’t like the floppy hats?

New camera

// July 8th, 2005 // Comments Off // Legacy (old website)

I’ve got a new camera and it is absolutely fantastic. ?308 of pure photo pleasure.

It has a way of focusing in low light. It shines out an infrared light so you can see in the dark on the screen, the camera then fires out a grid of laser beams to find out how far away the subject is and then fires the flash and takes the picture.

Of course this means that I have been going around for the past 2 days shouting ‘fricking laser beams’ (Austin Powers reference).

2 pictures below. One is Shawn (what else do you call a sheep) who is a draught excluder we bought in Lynton because it was cute and the 2nd one is a crop of the same picture to show the detail it gives.

[Edit] Thought I better add 2 more. One is the camera and the second is the camera with its fricking laser beams on.

Old news about the flat

// July 8th, 2005 // Comments Off // Legacy (old website)

Just to catch up on some older news…

While we were on holiday we got the landlord to come in and fix the damage that the boiler did the day we moved in. We understood that it would be a real inconvinience for him to do the work while we were here but 2 weeks was enough for it to be done. Anyway the wall is now good again, as is the door to the boiler and the tiles have been done on the other side of it near the cooker.

New fan

// July 1st, 2005 // Comments Off // Legacy (old website)

After 9 months of loud computing my pc is now whisper quiet. All thanks to an arctic-cooling fan from overclockers.co.uk. Maybe I should have bought it with the pc rather than after it.
